Take a peek behind the scenes with us on our recent photo shoot...
This was a very special shoot because we were using the same model we did on our first ever shoot exactly 3 years ago, yet the looks are so different. Revisiting that first shoot allowed us to stop and really see how far Soru Jewellery has come, the paths we have taken that have lead us to where we are now and the shoot we were about to do.
We chose a fantastic team to work with:
Model: Georgia Salamat
Photographer: Sam Pyatt
Stylist: Kate Barbour
Make Up Artist: Caroline Piasecki
All of which apart from the model (who we knew though a friend) we had met through Instagram (such a great social forum).
Once we had the team in place we started to look for a location and ended up falling in love with Lordship House; a shoot location house based in Islington, London. So glad we ended up going with this location as there were so many great rooms to shoot in.
Lordship House
We wanted a glamorous yet romantic feel to the shoot, using lots of luxe textures such as velvet, lace and sequins but not too many patterns that would detracting from the detail of the jewellery.
Mood board
The stylist was totally in tune with our thinking and turned up on the day with the clothes rail of dreams (not forgetting the most amazing shoes too)...
Clothes and shoes ready for the shoot
Everything came together on the day so well, the team were amazing to work with and for us it was another fabulous experience and one of the most enjoyable parts of our job.
MUA's kit
We have shot some new styles that I just can't wait to share with you, as well as some of our best selling styles. Such as the statement feather earrings which I often get requests for model shots of so you will soon have them!
Jewellery selection to shoot
As we were travelling from the Midlands to London, we had a 5am wake up call to leave at 6.30am, it was a long day with travelling across central London in a car taking HOURS. We left in the dark and arrived home in the dark (midnight to be exact!).
Me and Marianna, arriving at the location
Mid Shoot
We now have the task of selecting from 2000 images the ones we love the most, which is not easy as so many were amazing.
Notice the hairdryer action for a windblown effect!
Behind the scenes
Really hope you will love these images as much as we do, I honestly can't wait to share them with you and always love to hear your thoughts.
