Retail Operations & Customer Services Manager

Solihull, West Midlands

Full time, permanent role

 

In this newly curated role we are looking for an experienced retail operations manager with a passion for excellent customer service and driving a business to join our team based in Solihull, West Midlands.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Maximising efficiency through operations management and streamlining processes. We are open to suggestions and new technologies you can bring to our business.
  • Overseeing and ensuring all e-commerce orders are correctly dispatched in a timely manner and packaged to company standard.
  • Overseeing and ensuring all customer email queries are responded to quickly and as efficiently as possible. Delighting the customer at every opportunity and ensuring the team are providing the best possible service with an understanding of a tailored approach to each customers individual needs.
  • Manage and inspire the team in accordance to company policy and procedure. Being the ‘go to’ person for team members, able to confidently and independently make decisions and resolve problems.
  • Ensure the team are maximising sales through exceptional customer service and good product knowledge at every opportunity.
  • Overseeing all areas of customer service to exceptional standards including refunds, returns and repairs service. Accounting for cost implications.
  • Office housekeeping, supply orders and packaging re-orders.
  • Report to Co-Founders on all operational running. Feedback is extremely important to our brand and we want to be kept informed of running trends within the operations of the business.
  • Help with packaging and dispatch of ecommerce orders when and if needed.
  • Deal with couriers and courier account managers; namely DHL and Royal Mail for the best possible shipping procedures and services. Understanding customs and international shipping variances as well as insurance for Jewellery shipments.
  • Liaise with PR on the dispatch of jewellery for press, celebrities and influencers, ensuring these are logged out and accounted for.
  • Oversee wholesale accounts; creating invoices and booking in valuable shipments as well as maintaining good relationships with retailers and our sales team.
  • Receiving, checking and recording stock deliveries.
  • Carry out regular stock takes to maintain an accurate stock figure.
  • Securing and shutting down the premises at the end of the day, setting all safes, locks and alarms.

Who You Are:

  • Prior experience working within e-commerce with a luxury retailer or brand, preferably fashion.
  • At least 3+ years experience working within customer services and dealing with customers directly, preferably for a high end brand.
  • Experience managing a team as well as being a great team player.
  • Tech savvy with good computer skills and experience with Shopify and Shopify Plus.
  • An exceptional eye for detail.
  • Natural problem solver, able to think on your feet.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written with a good ability to build relationships.
  • Exceptionally organised and able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • You understand that in a growing business there may be times to roll up your sleeves and help in all departments- no job is too big or too small. Able to react and adapt.
  • Hardworking, energetic and forward thinking.
  • Interest and enthusiasm for jewellery, gemstones and premium quality products.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience within a fast growing start up business or direct to consumer brand.
  • Experience working with jewellery, gemstones and crystals.

Retail E-commerce Manager

Solihull, West Midlands

Full time, permanent role

 

We are looking for an experienced e-commerce manager in this exciting new role to develop and deliver a fresh and innovative thinking online sales strategy for our growing brand. This rewarding position will have a wide remit during this period of growth, you will be excited by the opportunity and work closely with the founders at our office based in Solihull, West Midlands.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Identifying new and innovative ways to drive traffic and push new and existing products.
  • Responsible for running and managing the online website store, updating the design and function when necessary.
  • Ensuring the website is kept up-to-date with; correct offers, correct gift offers, updated banners, new in products/brands, regularly updated category pages.
  • Focusing on the customer journey throughout the site, ensuring sales are optimised at each stage and that the customer experience is at its best.
  • Monitor key site metrics including GP, conversion rate, bounce rate, AOV, exit rate, traffic etc and report back to the Founders.
  • Using Shopify/ Shopify Plus and all relevant add on apps.
  • Upgrading the website for International use and grow international sales.
  • Producing weekly reports to feed back to the team on gathered store, product and customer analytics.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing, emails, promotions and social media.
  • Write copy when necessary.
  • Recommend and scope technical optimisation fixes and/or changes to enhance site crawlability and drive performance.
  • Working on strategic campaign planning, focusing on metrics such as new customer acquisition, retention, AOV.
  • Identify and propose promotions and efficiencies to increase sales and profitability.
  • Work closely with the customer service team to maintain flawless customer service.
  • Responsible for the running of the Loyalty Lion rewards programme and Stamped customer reviews app as well as all other add on apps such as wish lists and back in stock notifications.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced e-commerce manager with experience of building brands.
  • Fantastic eye for detail.
  • Creative with a flair for technical design.
  • You’re obsessed with content creation and storytelling.
  • Driven to build business.
  • Experience working within a DTC brand, preferably fashion retail and ideally for a premium brand.
  • Experience with Shopify/ Shopify Plus is essential.
  • You have the ability to think both strategically and tactically, and are able to react and adapt to support the trading environment
  • Solutions focused with a ‘can do’ attitude, never complacent and constantly looking for new and improved ways of doing things.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to work to challenging deadlines with changing priorities.
  • Interest and enthusiasm for jewellery, gemstones and premium quality products.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with Loyalty Lion.
  • Experience working with jewellery, gemstones and crystals.
  • Previously worked on international sales growth.
