DESIGNER'S NOTE
One of our most special pieces, inspired by historical depictions of astronomy, portraying a bright star in a blue sky.
Designed to be passed down as an heirloom, this oval star pendant features an exquisite micro mosaic centre set into solid 18ct gold and encircled with 0.20 carots of glistening brilliant cut diamonds and fiery centre oval opal gemstone, showcasing the attention to detail and true craftsmanship that goes into the making of this design.
A note on diamond: April's birthstone, the diamond is said to represent love, strength and a long life. Referred to as the 'king of gems' due to its unique powers of light reflection and being one of the hardest natural substances known.
A note on opal: October's birthstone. It takes its name from the Sanskrit word Upala which means "jewel", and later the Greek Opállios which means "to see a change in colour." In the Middle Ages, opal was considered a stone that could provide great luck as it was believed to possess all the virtues of each gemstone, whose colour was represented in the colour spectrum of the opal.
Packaged in a pink silk and velvet hassled box, this piece truly is something to be cherished.
