Hi, Marianna here, co- founder of Soru. We like to have a direct line to our lovely community so each month we would like to reach out personally with a few notes on what we have been loving lately.

What's inspiring me...

I'm really enjoying seeing how people are stying older pieces from their wardrobes and its inspiring me to dig deep into my wardrobe and re-discover some old treasures. This season instead of buying new pieces, I'm going to create new looks from pieces I haven't worn for years and give them a new lease of life. I think @leivankash and @tijanserena have been doing this so well recently, creating unique and stylish looks that are individual and look fresh and current. I particularly love the way Layla styles her jewellery, mixing vintage with new and fine with costume, she has inspired me to pull out an old pendant I brought in Dubai's gold souk 20 years ago and give it a new lease of life on our Linda Necklace.

I also love @whatpeoplearewearing for street style inspiration... its great to be nosey and see what people are wearing!

What's on my dressing table...

I have always found applying make up a bit of a chore, I would much prefer to go without (a la Pamela Anderson). But, I have recently discovered Westman Atelier and I am now enjoying the process much more. Their products are a dream to apply and beautifully packaged. I particularly love their Lip Suede in Petal (if you like the look of a matt lipstick but want the feel of a lip balm- you must try their lip suede) Their Lit Up Highlighter Stick and Blusher sticks are also winners.

Where i'm travelling to-

Last week we went to Florence and Tuscany for a work trip... more will be revealed! We also went on a family skiing trip to Kitzbuhel in Austria, which was wonderful. Francesca and I didn't Ski (our heads are already in the clouds, so we like to stay grounded) but there was still plenty to see and do. We put a little guide together for non-skiers which you can find on our Instagram.

I have a trip to Rome for my daughters 16th and a family trip to Portugal coming up, so i'm doing my usual pre-trip research which consists of- checking CN traveller and cross referencing with Cabana travel guides (if you haven't discovered Cabana yet I think it's about time you did). Once the restaurants are short listed I check their IG account's and tags to get the vibe, theres nothing worse than wondering the streets on holiday to find all the good places fully booked.

What with the weather being so amazing here in the UK I couldn't resist a mid-week day off to go and sit by the pool at Estelle Manor with my bestie @MORstyle.  We had a little mooch in their store, The Muse,  which is beautifully curated and full of brands that you might not see anywhere else, including bags by Alienina that are great for summer!

Jewellery I have been wearing lately...

Mostly our new collection which is launching next week, especially the fan shaped earrings and matching necklace which are my absolute favourites, they are inspired by a vintage set my mother-in-law brought on her Honeymoon in Aruba decades ago. The design is so beautiful I wanted to share it with everyone.  I'm also wearing my beloved Linda Necklace that I love to mix with different charms form our Charms Collection, along with the Toulouse Ring from our collaboration with Sapna Ra  (haven't taken this off since it launched) and my Madonna Bracelet that I never take off.
