It's been a busy month of photo shoots here at Soru, our final one this season is for our much anticipated collaboration with Laura Wills, AKA The Fashion Bug Blog. We have really been looking forward to this one, not only because the pieces we have created together are beautiful, but because we get to spend time with Laura. Working with Laura is such a pleasure, she is one of the nicest people in the industry and we love spending time with her, plus we adore her amazing style, vision and passion for fashion.
We hadn't seen Laura for over a year, all of our design meetings and ideas had been conducted over the phone due to restrictions. We all love the 80's vibe of chunky jewellery, she wanted to create some large studs that were chic and modern along with chunky gold earrings to make a statement and some beautiful ornate crosses. Laura also wanted a few smaller pieces crafted in solid gold that she can wear all the time. She choose to create evil eyes for these two gold pieces as they are something she has always worn, she added a pearl for the eye and clear crystal embellishment around the edges to add her stamp to them. We finalised 10 pieces for this collection- 7 earrings, 2 bracelets and 1 necklace.

Now onto the really fun stuff- the photoshoot! There were lots of grand and wonderful ideas floating around, but in reality Laura needed to stay local so she could be finished in time for the school run. It's no mean feat having 4 children under the age of 5! Organisation is key and we wanted to ensure the process was as convenient as possible. So, finding suitable outdoor space in central London proved harder than first imagined, but we finally found a large house, with an amazing garden space and pool- within central London.

Not a bad day at the office
Now a pool was going to be involved the vibe we wanted for this shoot become apparent, and Slim Aaron's famous images became a firm fixture on our moodboard and the main source of inspiration for this shoot. This glamorous, but laid back poolside vibe suited Lauras personal style perfectly and she had a wardrobe full of dresses and swimwear that were made to be worn on this shoot.

With our usual amazing team- photographer Michelle Beatty, MUA Jessica Kell and Sally from MorStyle we created glamorous and fun poolside images that showcase the jewellery exactly as we had envisioned, with Lauras signature style shining through.
